(It's been several days since it happened to Japan, but it did not happen. The use of catastrophe by day has been different than previous. We have always struck by the immediate visual feedback of the designers in this type of situation. But this time we wanted to know who thought (and felt) a design professional who is very close to the disaster. So we asked our Japanese Kohji Shiiki columnist to write within the energy constraints that are imposed in Tokyo on this solidarity and visual input. We show what I was doing a group of English designers , who recommended Rodolfo Fernandez Alvarez, Chillart columnist, sensitive to this kind of solidarity demonstration)

Imagen 31 (For Kohji Shiiki) I've seen what people are doing Designers for Japan. I think terrific reflect solidarity through designs. No doubt that is the tool that we use. But I would like this to connect to companies or groups with purchasing power to provide concrete help to the victims of the earthquake.

I was much struck by some comments left at the site of GRAFFIC. Any country whatever it is in need of financial assistance to a disaster. Perhaps in countries such as Japan joins money faster and probably more but it's absurd who say that Japan does not need such aid be a rich country.
What I can say is that this country is in economic crisis tweakers. Times have changed that Japan's bubble era that ended back in the mid 90s, just as it would take another disaster that was the Kobe earthquake.

think it would be interesting to think about how to generate donations through the design, for example through global organizations like the Red Cross. Personally I have given my small donation through it.

As everyone knows, there are hundreds of thousands of victims hit by this disaster and some who are saved were due to lack of essential materials, as the weather is still very cold in the Northeast and is said to be in the affected areas is a serious problem to transport relief materials.

In Tokyo, the serious energy problem remains the city. The sensible thing is to consume as little electricity as possible, because it is obvious that seriously affects the economy of the country. Anecdotally, one driver told the radio yesterday: "If Tokyo is not right, the whole country is not right and we can not get out of this pit."
And I think he is right. Without going too far, the magazine where laburo is all screwed. Speaking with a colleague who works in the Yomiuri newspaper in English, I said there is not enough paper to print the newspaper in the coming weeks.

Returning to the work of the designer, as I said earlier, I found a website where graphic designers with posters promoting the energy problem. The designs are downloadable to print and stick on the walls. In short, the designer has the virtue of being able to create, promote or terminate messages to specific issues.
I think that is what you need to do in situations like those experienced in these latitudes. Not rule out that the graphic designer to achieve an emotional support, but for such assistance are also musicians and comedians, to name a few. For
More posters Japanese Chillart enters.
